It's older than that, actually! The later verses are more explicitly Christian.
Are a lot of the feminine rhymes masculine ones in disguise?
Yes. Bravado points for "new fall" and "dewfall." It's possible that garden/heaven is intended to be a slant rhyme, although there's not really enough context because the other verses have "morning" rhyming with "morning" there. Or "rhyming" but that would be too many scare quotes in a row.
