#456: Baptized in Water
Aug. 31st, 2020 10:58 pmAnother use of Bunessan (the "Morning Has Broken" tune), that one gets around. And a fairly low Shannon density, lots of repetition.
I guess what stands out is the repeated use of "Christ our king." Even if you just wanted the rhyme with "sing" I feel like there are other ways of getting that if necessary; the image of Christ as monarch is an interesting juxtaposition with Christ who made things awkward by asking John to baptize him along with everyone else, and Christ "in the tomb" who we need to share both death and resurrection with.
