#541: O Jesus, Blessed Lord
Jan. 9th, 2020 10:13 pmThe hymn-tune name is the diacritic-heavy "Ud går du nu på livets vej." That's Danish, and comes by way of composer Carl Nielsen. He is apparently famous for many other things composition-wise, but I don't think I've ever heard of him, help. (There's also an alternate tune, but that's British with no fun diacritics, so.)
Rhyme of "bestowed" and "blood" (as in, Communion) is a stretch. There's only two verses and one of them is about communion, so it could have gone in that section pretty easily. I guess this is "after Communion," and then there's usually not much except the dismissal/benediction.
