Kind of low, the first two lines repeat in each verse.
Shouldn't it be called Knuth density?
So, I was pretty sure I made this idea up on my own. But it could be a case of great minds think alike--Donald Knuth (famous computer programmer) apparently wrote about the complexity of songs! He's also a Lutheran!
I'm sticking with my nomenclature, though.
Is there any more subtle repetition?
"From our sin he set us free, all for to gain our liberty." Like...isn't setting people free the definition of gaining their liberty? What else is going on there? I guess it's saying that was Jesus' only goal, like he didn't have an ulterior motive, but...
