We're back in the genre of 1600s Germans being dark (but also good at chorale harmonization). This version has stuff like "sin and hell assail me" and "foes who would molest me" (granted this might have had a slightly different connotation in the 1800s, but still!)

My choir did a very long arrangement with solos and even more over-the-top lines like "[get thee] hence, thou noisome serpent!"
